As followers of Christ, it is vital to understand what the Bible teaches about “the world.” Scripture presents the world in various contexts—sometimes as God’s creation, and other times as a system in opposition to Him. God Created the World
From the beginning, Scripture reveals that God is the Creator of the world. Everything we see—the sky, the earth, and all living things—was made by Him. Jesus Overcame the World

God Loves the World
Even though the world is fallen, God’s love remains constant. He desires redemption for all people and provided a way through His Son, Jesus Christ. These verses show God’s compassionate heart for humanity and His desire to save and restore those in the world who turn to Him in faith.

Our Mission in the World
Though we are not of the world, we are sent into it with purpose. Jesus calls us to be His witnesses, shining light into darkness. We are to share the gospel and represent Christ in all we do. These verses remind us that we have a divine mission in this world—to love, serve, and lead others to Him.

The World Will Pass Away
Though we live in this world, it is temporary. God promises a new heaven and earth, free from sin and sorrow.
