At times, we may feel that we are not good enough for God, weighed down by our flaws and failures. But the Bible reminds us that our worth is not found in our perfection but in God’s grace. He calls us to come to Him as we are, trusting in His mercy and love. Below are Bible verses that remind us that while we may never be “good enough” on our own, God’s grace is always sufficient.

God’s Grace is Sufficient
When we feel unworthy, we must remember that God’s grace is enough to cover our weaknesses. His love is not dependent on our perfection but on His mercy. We cannot earn His acceptance; it is freely given through Christ.
2 Corinthians 12:9
“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
Titus 3:5
“He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 3:23-24
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
Hebrews 4:16
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
God Chooses the Weak
God does not choose people based on their strength or perfection. He often uses those who feel weak and unworthy to accomplish His great purposes. He delights in showing His power through our weakness.
1 Corinthians 1:27
“Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.”
Exodus 4:10-12
“But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.””
Judges 6:15-16
““But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” The Lord said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.””
2 Corinthians 12:10
“That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Psalm 34:18
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
Our Righteousness Comes from Christ
No amount of good works can make us righteous before God. Our righteousness is found in Jesus Christ, who took our sins upon Himself so that we might be made right with God.
Isaiah 64:6
“We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.”

“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
Philippians 3:9
“And become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.”
2 Corinthians 5:21
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”
Romans 8:1
“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”
God’s Love is Unconditional
God’s love is not based on our performance. He loves us with an everlasting love, and nothing can separate us from Him.
Romans 8:38-39
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”
Jeremiah 31:3
“Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.””

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Psalm 103:11
“For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.”
